About the Role

Are you ready to be part of something great? We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven and talented Student Success, Enrollment and Campus Manager to join our team in New Haven. This is a unique opportunity to fill a critical role in a growing start-up company with a focus on excellence in education and a dynamic, fast-paced and energizing work environment.

The person in this role will be responsible for:

  1. Student Success, Experience & Retention
    • Accountable for new student engagement to increase enrollment, set expectations and shape new student experience
      • Engage and communicate with accepted students; support students relocating to the area
      • Partner with Education Lead to ensure a successful cohort launch and positive student onboarding experience (Day 0, Week 0, Week 1)
    • Interface with students formally and informally to drive engagement, create a positive student experience, increase retention and contribute to shaping campus culture
    • Support academic, professional, and personal success and development of students in partnership with Software Engineer
      • Monitor and document student progress
      • Communicate and meet with at risk students to understand and remove road blocks and empower students; help students create success plans as needed
      • Conduct and document student success meetings as well as day-to-day student issues (e.g. score warnings, academic probation, professionalism reminders, cheating, conduct)
    • Advise the School Director on cohort and student academic performance, motivation and challenges
    • Student Records & Enrollment Management
      • Manage enrollment process for accepted students
        • Review, distribute, collect and track enrollment documents
        • Support Director with periodic Office of Higher Education document reviews and updates, including annual license renewal submissions
      • Oversee and manage status changes (transfers, withdrawals, dismissals), ensuring accuracy, timeliness & regulatory compliance
        • Maintain the student enrollment and registrar systems in partnership with HQ and vendor
        • Support bursar activities for tuition collection, including employment verifications and the collection of employer recommendation letters
        • Perform general systems administration and records management
    • Career Readiness
      • Manage Career Sprint and support career-readiness to enable successful placement and transition to internships and/or full-time employment
        • Conduct and facilitate project reviews
        • Plan, schedule and communicate programming; facilitate workshops and coordinate mock-interview days with professional advisors
        • Support Director with corporate partnerships and placement efforts; plan and attend company tours
    • Campus Management
      • Manage the daily campus schedule with support from Software Engineer and team
        • Plan, lead, record and publish Stand-Ups; review student presentations; facilitate the process of giving feedback on student presentations
        • Oversee student officers (plant officer, kitchen officer, space officer, audio/visual officer)
      • Ensure adherence to school policies by students and visitors
      • Support Director with facilities management efforts and associated vendor management
        • Monitoring campus facilities for damage or theft; record and communicate supply needs
    • Support and Assist Director & Team as Needed
      • Manage or support various administrative tasks as needed
      • Provide social media, marketing, PR and communications support as needed
      • Provide event support as needed, including attending offsite and afterhours events


      • This role is based in New Haven, CT and may require the ability to travel (25%)
      • 3+ years of experience coaching and empowering individuals as well as ; prior experience in an academic setting strongly preferred but not required (e.g. student success)
      • 2+ years of experience with process, program and project management
      • Desire to make meaningful connections with people one on one and in group settings; strong, poised communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
      • Enjoys and excels at various organization tasks and has superb attention to detail; experience with systems administration
      • Self-aware; "can do" attitude and commitment to creating exceptional experiences for students, visitors, and community members
      • Open-minded team player, self-starter with a desire to “build & create”; able to succeed in a fast-paced start-up environment and manage competing priorities
      • Palpable passion for innovation in higher education
