About the Role

Are you ready to be part of something great? We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven and talented Recruitment & Admissions Manager to join our leadership team in New Haven. This is a unique opportunity to fill a critical role in a growing start-up company with a focus on excellence in education and a dynamic, fast-paced and energizing work environment.

The person in this role will be responsible for:

  1. Recruitment and Admissions
    • Determine and implement overall recruitment strategy in partnership with head of Marketing & Growth and Campus Director to generate a consistent pipeline of applicants and increase enrollment
      • Set admissions growth targets and manage recruitment strategy implementation
      • Provide input into overall marketing strategy and various marketing campaigns
    • Design and implement applicant pipeline conversion strategy in partnership with head of Marketing & Growth
      • Draft communications, copy and creative materials; select & utilize various communication channels (e.g. email, SMS, phone calls, direct mail etc.)
      • Monitor applicant pipeline and reach out to applicants weekly
      • Track and analyze applicant pipeline metrics and provide reporting updates to the team, campus director and board of directors
      • Respond to and direct applicant and external inquiries
    • Recruitment and Application Events
      • Represent the school at various on- and off-campus recruiting events
        • Coordinate logistics for and attend local and national college and career fairs
        • Host campus tours and application nights and present during open houses and onsite or offsite information sessions
        • Host and coordinate monthly Level 3 onsite peer learning application days
    • Business Development & Relationship Management
      • Accountable for all business development efforts and relationship management for schools and community organizations
        • Set and implement business development strategy with input from Campus Director and Head of Marketing & Growth
        • Identify and meet with representatives from High Schools, Community Colleges, Adult Education Programs, and various viable community organizations in our region
        • Support Campus Director in other business development efforts
        • Manage High School Curriculum Partnership and program implementation
    • Support and Assist Director & Team as Needed
      • Manage or support various administrative tasks as needed
      • Provide social media, marketing, PR and communications support as needed


      • This role is based in New Haven, CT and requires the ability to travel (40%) and attend or host after hours events
      • 3+ years of experience in an admissions or sales and business development role; prior experience in an academic setting strongly preferred but not required
      • Strong, poised communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills; desire to make meaningful connections with people one on one and in group settings
      • Results oriented and proven track record to set and reach growth targets; demonstrated attention to detail and ability to stay organized/put in place organizational systems
      • Self-aware; "can do" attitude and commitment to creating exceptional experiences for students, visitors, and community members
      • Open-minded team player, self-starter with a desire to "build & create"; able to succeed in a fast-paced start-up environment and manage competing priorities
      • Palpable passion for innovation in higher education
