About the Role

Do you have a passion for Tech and education? Are you a great public speaker? Are you an expert at social media and event management? If so, this role is for you! Holberton School is looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven, and talented Community Manager. This role is an opportunity to fill a critical and impactful role in a fast-growing company. In this role, you will be autonomous and you will report directly to the Director of Marketing.


  • Creating community strategies (Channels: events, social media, website, and external partnerships)
    • Outreach - student acquisition
      • You will identify meaningful ways of getting in touch with prospective students (through ongoing partnerships with key organizations, through the creation of relevant content on appropriate channels)
      • You will build a diversified and engaging content calendar targeting prospective students
    • Community building
      • Secondary goal: you will build a content strategy targeting other audiences (alumni, mentors, corporate partners) that reinforce our brand values
  • Managing Social Media & Monitoring our Online reputation
    • You will be monitoring our social media channels and engaging in conversations with our audience on a daily basis
    • You will create blogs/articles for our website or other external websites that reinforce our brand values
    • Holberton has a great community of Tech mentors and many incredible influencers and advisors (Tech, Musician, activists, etc), you will have the opportunity to craft creative campaigns on social media and amplify our PR coverage
    • You will analyze and learn from your posts and your campaigns
  • Organization of Events, Student fairs, Hackathon & Summer Camp
    • You will identify, scope, and own student acquisition events (Open House, webinars, student fairs, hackathon, Summer camp) from A-to-Z with the help of the marketing team
    • You will animate these events and you will leverage our internal / external resources to bring these events to life
    • You will analyze the impact of these events on our acquisition goals and on our community


  • 3-5 years of experience working as a community manager
  • Experienced at managing social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit etc) for large communities
  • Excellent program management skills and event management skills
  • Awesome creativity and great content creation skills
  • Excellent public speaking skills
  • You are a strategist and a builder who can thrive in a startup environment
  • Experience in Education preferred
