About this event
Join us for a Q&A session with Dr. Christine Robson, Product Lead for Machine Learning, Google AI.
In her own words:
In 2012 I joined Google Research as the first Product Manager for Machine Learning. I helped grow the team from ~60 ML researchers & engineers to almost 3000. I’ve helped start dozens of research efforts ranging from speculative to practical, eventually launching some and shuttering others. A few are now major efforts including the extended TensorFlow ecosystem and Cloud AI. Right now, I’m working on AI Ethics and TPUs.
I co-authored or edited much of [Google's] ML education material, so my work is seen by every new engineering hire during orientation, and every student who takes Google’s ML class.
Once, I convinced the Google pastry chefs to bake a quarter million cookies from ML-generated recipes and feed them to Googlers. We discovered many engineers like cayenne pepper in chocolate chip cookies.
