Silicon Valley program without the high cost of living
New Haven is the heart of Connecticut's start-up scene, and proudly calls itself The City That Codes. With a population of 140,000, it is the second-largest city in Connecticut, and offers all the amenities associated with being a great place to live and work. New Haven is within a two-hour drive to both Boston and New York City, which was recently ranked the top US tech city.
Connecticut is known for innovation, and is home to companies across many industries, including several tech companies, seven of which were recently recognized in Technology Fast 500. Industry leading companies in our state include IBM, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Stanley Black & Decker, and Lockheed Martin—Sikorsky. Connecticut is also ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the 12th best state to live in (even beating out New York).
