About New Haven
As part of the non-profit, District Arts and Education (DAE), Holberton School New Haven is uniquely positioned to offer a technical education with a focus on preparing students for meaningful data and digital-centric careers that serve humanity, build community, and deepen health and prosperity for all.
In addition to Holberton’s software engineering curriculum, New Haven students have access to the DAE personal and professional development programming that has been delivered to thousands of business professionals in companies such as IBM, J&J, Novartis, and Facebook. Specific programs include: Influence & Interpersonal Effectiveness, Organizational & Social Change, and Leadership. They also have opportunities to pay-it-forward and participate in various community activities.
Speaking of community, Holberton School New Haven is located within District, a comprehensive ecosystem designed to support and inspire people and businesses. With amenities like a full-service fitness center, a walking trail, and an onsite restaurant, students are able to learn, work, and play in an inclusive environment of entrepreneurs and established professionals.
Outside of Holberton, District, and DAE, students will find there is no shortage of opportunities and experiences to take advantage of. In addition to being in a prime location between New York City and Boston, Connecticut is known for innovation and is home to an eclectic group of high performing companies from the largest hedge funds to the aerospace industry. As the second-largest city in the state, New Haven itself boasts a vibrant local scene with foodie culture, arts, entertainment, and innovative start-ups. It is also home to five universities, including Yale, providing a true college-town feel. And with four of the best pizzerias in Americas, there’s plenty of great pizza to keep you going.
