About Cali

A city of 3.4 million people, Cali is Colombia’s third largest city and the most important city on Colombia’s southwest coast. An economic powerhouse, Cali is the home of some of Colombia’s largest and most influential companies like Carvajal, Open Software, Delima, Datecsa, Eficacia, Colombina, Tecnoquimicas, and Lafrancol. Cali also hosts many multinational companies like Colgate, Baxter, Johnson & Johnson, and more. As a cultural destination, it is known as the “The Salsa Capital of The World” due its world-famous salsa festivals and nightlife.

A growing tech city, local and international companies recognize the talent and drive of the local workforce. Combined with the Cali Zonamerica, a special economic Free Zone in Colombia that supports a global services market, Cali is on its way to becoming one of the top tech destinations of the world.

Our campus in Cali is located within Cali Zonamerica. As our students learn, they will be surrounded by opportunities to take their Silicon Valley-level software engineering education directly to the world stage.

Campus Diversity

Part of what makes Holberton unique is that we don’t require any prior knowledge of coding, so we attract diverse people from diverse backgrounds. This creates a rich learning environment where people can have strong debates, work across viewpoints, cultures, and conceptions, and celebrate what makes each of us unique.
